True words spoken by Christina Gonsalez, "O-W-S" protestor, responding to the question, if the "OWS" movement can learn something from the violent protests that happened in Egypt on Tahrir Square:
"It's gonna take a lot more than this! ... I can say that I'm honestly scared, because I don't know what's going to happen! ... I mean, I know that there is not enough police to hold the masses that are there on the streets right now! This makes me think that the military is possibly going to come in! ... I think that things are really going to get messy! ... People don't wanna let go of their power, and we don't know how ruthless they can be! They've been killing us secretly and subversively for so long ... But I'm willing to stick through - it's not for me, it's for whole humanity! ...
We don't want the things to get messy and violent, that's why the whole time we've been promoting a peaceful movement, peaceful protests ... but unfortunately that's the way that this society works ... and you know, it's only for so long that you can withstand someone beating you, before you have to take action back ... so I definitely do not promote violence that's going to take place, but I know that it's inevitable! It would be great if our voices could be heard, without us having to be beaten, but it seems that's the point that we're going to be pushed to! We have to be ready for it!"
